• Nice photo, but that's not necessarily pot he's smoking. I can't say for sure, but I'm thinking it's a cigar or a cigarette. As he matured with the band he pretty much gave up weed for hardcore boozing and cigarellos. He gave up pot after he smoked a huge spliff in Jamaica with the other Doors and had a really bad trip where he saw his own demise. If you haven't seen it already a really cool documentary came out not too long ago called "When You're Strange." A lot of good concert footage and the whole "Highway" film Morrison made at UCLA is included in it.

• Jim Morrison was an icon of the 60s Revolution. May his ideals live on in the land of the Lizard King and beyond.

• LD, he looks a lot more joyful and peaceful than smug, to me. Different smokes for different folks.
