Marijuana is safer than alcohol. It’s an idea so easy to understand, that even vapid pop music stars understand it.
Mile Cyrus, famous at one time for being a ‘tween sensation superstar and now just famous for being famous, tells Rolling Stone that she’s seen too many people burn out on booze – but that potheads she knows never seem to go down that road.

“I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana–people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don’t care,” Cyrus said in an online Q/A with the magazine. “I’ve seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I’ve never seen that happen with weed.”
And while she didn’t outright admit to being a toker herself, she dropped quite a few hints that was the case including making note of her most recent single with Snoop Lion, a reggae-infused track dubbed “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks” (check out the tune below).
Cyrus says that her life in California has showed her that pot doesn’t have to be a forbidden substance.
“As long as it isn’t illegal, there are far more dangerous things,” she said. “And it’s legal in the state of California. So I’m happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be.”
