Water is as precious as gold in the West, so the saying goes. The wet stuff could become even more valuable soon for marijuana producers as federal officials mull whether or not to cut off irrigation for otherwise state-legal pot and hemp growers.
Basically, the feds don’t want to be assisting in the watering pot gardens while at the same time maintaining marijuana’s illegal status.

After just a few weeks of ingesting raw cannabis and taking Nternal oil at night, the spider-web-like mass found in my left breast during both a mammogram and subsequent ultra-sound, was nowhere to be found during the first scheduled biopsy. 
While there was still a target point for a biopsy, and the oncologist wanted to proceed, I made a deal and bought another month of time. I continued to ingest a green drink made with cannabis in a blender daily, and began ingesting RSO (Rick Simpson Oil), also known as Phoenix Tears, nightly.
During the second scheduled biopsy one month later, the “target point” was gone, with the attending physician declaring, “No biopsy needed.”

About a month ago, in California, Assembly member Tom Ammiano removed a pro-cannabis bill he authored (AB2312) from proceeding in the State Senate after determining that he wouldn’t be able to gather enough support from his colleagues.
The pulling of Ammiano’s bill, and the Feds’ continued attacks on legitimate marijuana businesses, kick-started a very heated online debate among pot activists and other political cannabis factions. The issue: “Is marijuana strictly only medicinal?” and, I’m paraphrasing, “By calling it a recreational drug, does it undermine the purpose and objectives that the medical marijuana movement has been trying to achieve for these 20 years?”

Deep Green Fest II was held the day after 4/20 in the picturesque locale of the historic Craneway Pavilion, located just over the Richmond Bridge from San Francisco.
Joining up purposefully with Earth Day celebrations, Deep Green’s intent is to educate and enlighten on all things green – including Hemp, Cannabis, and holistic healing, with a healthy dose of politics thrown in for good measure.
Four stages featured music, lectures, and panels on everything from beekeeping to Cannabis, Hemp and legalization of both, Canna economics, responsible business models, and protecting children in the crossfire.
The star of the event was Stephen DeAngelo of Oakland’s Harborside Health Center, with his brother Andrew close by. Both were featured in the Discovery Channel’s Weed Wars, and promises of a second season of the hotly debated super miniseries were tweeted earlier in the week by Stephen, but quelled by event day with a promise of finding a new network.

While the U.S. federal government’s regulators and lawyers, drug czar and others are paid to say whatever is dated and wrong about therapeutic cannabis, medical and nursing professionals are in wonder that so many can so willingly display their ignorance of therapeutic cannabis in public.
On November 23, 2011, the associate director for public affairs of the Office of National Drug Policy (ONDCP), Rafael Lemaitre said, “The Food and Drug Administration has not found smoked marijuana to be either safe or effective medicine for any condition.”
This statement made by a person of responsibility for citizen health in the U.S. is apparently in denial of a decades-long study of cannabis “smokers” by Donald P. Tashkin, M.D., medical director of the Pulmonary Function Laboratory, Professor of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles.
At the Patients Out of Time clinical cannabis conference in Pacific Grove in April 2008, Dr. Tashkin announced his study showed that no patient, of more than 2,200, who smoked only cannabis had lung cancer, COPD or other pulmonary problem other than mild bronchitis.

Marijuana Activist Dr Reefer Given 41 Months In Prison

​Former marijuana activist Pierre Werner — known as “Dr Reefer” after one of the dispensaries operated by his family — on Monday was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison.

U.S. District Judge Philip Pro also ordered Werner to pay $27,438 in restitution and placed him on three years of supervised release once he gets out of prison, reports Jeff German at the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Werner, 39, has until January 9 to surrender to federal prison officials.
Judge Pro last week sentenced Werner’s mother, Reynalda Barnett, to four months in prison and four months of home detention for her role in running the marijuana dispensary once known as Dr. Reefer. Pro had earlier placed Werner’s younger brother, Clyde Barnett, on three years of supervised release.

​Dr. Reefer’s days as a marijuana activist are over.

“Someone else has got to carry on the fight now that me and my whole family are convicted felons,” Dr. Reefer — also known as entrepreneur Pierre Werner — said on Thursday, reports Carri Geer Thevenot at the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Werner and other members of his family on Thursday resolved their federal marijuana case by pleading guilty to felonies.
Dr. Reefer was one of 14 people, including his mother and brother, arrested on January 6 in connection with marijuana sales at Las Vegas dispensaries.
