A man who once told Wally George in his Anaheim TV studio that Nancy Reagan smoked pot is now telling a whopper on the East Coast: that he was the one who replaced American flags with bleached white versions of Old Glory.
The Reverend Bud Green of the People Opposing Tyranny Party (POT Party … get it?) makes the claim on his blog:

Arizona residents on probation or parole would no longer be able to consume cannabis to relieve their pain or other ailments under a newly proposed law.

Arizona Republican Vince Leach, R-Saddlebrookeintroduced several anti-medical-marijuana bills last year that went nowhere, including one that would have stopped the state from offering registration discounts to food-stamp recipients. This time, he’s targeting people on probation…

Sorry, Pennsylvanians in need of pain relief, suffering from seizures, wasting away from chronic nausea and dying of cancer or AIDS, you’re going to wait until next year at least for your state to allow you to access medical cannabis.
The State House of Representatives yesterday made it clear they aren’t going to vote on a medical marijuana proposal that has already been approved by the state Senate. House leaders say they have too many issues with the bill and need to hold hearings to iron things out – things they can’t accomplish by the end of today, when the legislature adjourns.

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon says secondhand smoke led to a failed drug test

One of the first things you learn as a stoner is how to dodge the bullet when it comes to getting busted. Some nights there might not have been enough Visine and cologne on the planet to cover up how baked you were when you thought you were fooling your parents coming home late.
When you do walk in a room all pie-eyed and reeking of reefer, maybe the oldest excuse in the book is to blame it on the “other guy”. When the phrase “secondhand smoke” became a household term when speaking on the dangers of cigarettes, the anti-pot crowd was quick to point out that secondhand marijuana smoke could be a danger as well.
These days, the tables have turned a bit, and savvy stoners are turning science against the system and citing “secondhand smoke” as the culprit anytime they get busted for weed.

A pair of Pennsylvania senators has introduced legislation that would legalize the cultivation of state-regulated CBD-rich cannabis plants and the production of high-CBD oils and tinctures, but the rest of the cannabis plant would remain illegal.
Senate Bill 1182, sponsored by Sens. Daylin Leach and Mike Folmer, would legalize a specific strain of cannabis bred in Colorado by one specific medical cannabis shop that has been made famous through several high-profile media specials. Both lawmakers say the bill is aimed to help children suffering from severe seizure disorders.

A bipartisan pair of Pennsylvania state senators introduced legislation this week legalizing medical marijuana in that state. Sort of.
Senate Bill 1182 would legalize the production, possession and use of CBD-rich plants oils, tinctures, but otherwise leaves all other cannabinoids basically illegal. Still, the state governor says it won’t happen while he’s in office.

In what is arguably one of the most vile stories out of the medical marijuana world we’ve ever seen, four people have been charged with kidnapping, torturing and castrating the owner of a medical marijuana dispensary in California.
Their reasoning? They thought the unnamed owner has buried a large amount of cash in the desert and they wanted the location.

Though many say the bill has a snowball’s chance in a forest fire of passing, Pennsylvania’s proposed recreational marijuana legalization bill received the support of the NAACP yesterday.
In a press conference, David Scott with the Pennsylvania NAACP, called the war on drugs a “catastrophic failure” and said the bill would be a step towards addressing the racial disparity among marijuana arrests in the state. Figures show blacks are more than five times more likely to be arrested for marijuana than whites in Pennsylvania, despite studies showing usage rates between whites and blacks are about the same.

Last Friday, Seattle Seahawks defensive end Bruce Irvin was suspended by the NFL for a violation of their substance abuse policy, the sixth member of the squad to receive such punishment since 2010.
Since the NFL can’t disclose why, Irvin did as teammate Richard Sherman did before him: hint that the violation was for taking Adderall without disclosing it. While heavily prescribed, Adderall isn’t without risks, but it certainly can have it’s performance-enhancing advantages — same as any number of drugs that areallowed in sports. If the league is going are going to be hypocrites, then why not allow one of the best natural performance enhancers out there: marijuana?
