Texas Judge Wants Harsher Pot Punishment For Willie Nelson

Vengeful Judge Becky Dean-Walker, who evidently gets her hair done at Trailer Park Skanks R Us: “If Willie Nelson gets off with nothing, I’m not going to be part of it.”

A proposed plea deal in music legend Willie Nelson’s marijuana possession case has been rejected by a vengeful Texas judge who said she wants harsher punishment for the 77-year-old singer.

Nelson was arrested last November by the U.S. Border Patrol when they found several ounces of weed on his tour bus, reports Justin Harp at Digital Spy.

The bust went down at the Sierra Blanca, Texas checkpoint after Nelson’s tour bus pulled in and a Border Patrol officer smelled marijuana through the vehicle’s open door.

Willie had reportedly agreed to plead “no contest” to a charge of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as pay a $500 fine and $280 in court costs, with the presiding Hudspeth County Judge Becky Dean-Walker initially indicating her agreement.

Jim Morrison Would Have Been 67 Today

Jim Morrison, the legendary lead singer and lyricist of The Doors, would have been 67 years old today. The shaman and wild man was born December 8, 1943, in Melbourne, Florida.

The “Lizard King” is known as one of the most distinctive frontmen in rock music history, and also dabbled in poetry and filmmaking. He reportedly had an I.Q. of 149.

In 1965, after graduating from UCLA, Morrison met future Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek on Venice Beach. With the addition of John Densmore on drums and Robby Krieger on guitar, The Doors were born.

The Doors took their name from the title of The Doors of Perception, Aldous Huxley’s book of mescaline experiences, itself taken from a William Blake quotation in The Marriage of Heaven and Hell, in which Blake said “If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is — infinite.”

The Doors achieved national prominence in 1967 with the hit single “Light My Fire” and hit the charts again in 1968 with “Hello, I Love You,” in 1969 with “Touch Me,” and in 1971 with “Love Her Madly” and “Riders On The Storm.”

Weary of the rock star lifestyle after only four years, Morrison “retired” to Paris at age 27 in March 1971. He died of unknown causes in Paris on July 3, 1971.

Morrison’s poetry writings are available in the books The Lords and the New Creatures, Wilderness, and The American Night.

‘Weeds’ Star Mary-Louise Parker Doesn’t Smoke Weed

Mary-Louise Parker may star in Weeds, but she doesn’t smoke ’em.

In some disconcerting news for those of us who have been fantasizing about hot marathon smoking sessions with Mary-Louise Parker, the star of Showtime’s Weeds has admitted she doesn’t smoke marijuana.

But at least Parker, 46, who plays the role of pot-peddling housewife Nancy on the hit cable series, doesn’t judge you for toking up, reports Gerrick D. Kennedy at the Boston Herald.

It’s not that Parker has anything against cannabis, you see. It’s just that it doesn’t seem that exciting.

Tommy Hilfiger’s Rapper Son Arrested For Marijuana

Could orange jumpsuits be “in” this season?

Richard Hilfiger, the 20-year-old son of fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, was arrested last weekend in Hollywood for alleged possession of marijuana with intent to sell, reports Josh Grossberg at E! Online.

The wannabe rapper, who goes by the hiphop name “Rich Hil” and has cut tracks with Kid Cudi and Swizz Beatz, was pulled over on Sunset Boulevard by patrolling sheriff’s deputies in Hollywood, according to Los Angeles Sheriff’s Sgt. Shawn Ruda.

Officers found what they claimed was a “huge stash of marijuana” in his car (no amount mentioned), which is apparently why they chose to charge young Hilfiger with a felony intent-to-distribute charge instead of simple possession.
