Unless you’re into mosh pits or heavy bass, no substance accompanies music better than marijuana. Plenty of musicians are known for singing about their love of ganja, which left us wondering: What are the best THC tributes? Sure, there’s the cannabis canon of Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson that comes to mind. But we wanted to dig deeper for the best beats about buds.

Below are twelve of our favorite songs about weed. You can disagree. You can make a fuss. You can make your own list. But as your anger rises because your favorite Kottonmouth Kings track didn’t make it, twist one up and listen to one of these. The nostalgia will ease your pain before you know it.

When Amendment 64 passed in 2014, adults in Colorado not only had the right to possess recreational marijuana, we gained the right to grow it. However, growing the potent, stanky cannabis many of us are used to smoking is no easy task for a rookie. Home growers spend years perfecting their lighting, nutrients, feeding schedule and more, but few have the time and bandwidth to breed their own genetics.

Most experienced home growers will tell you that the best way to grow your own is by planting reliable seeds, growing your own clones from a mother plant or finding a trustworthy clone breeder that doesn’t have anything to lose from selling you his or her best genetics – but for newbs and those too lazy to build a community, dispensaries provide a convenient place to start your home-growing journey.

To my chagrin, not too many pot shops in Denver sell clones anymore, making them hard to track down even after a Google sesh. Here’s a list of dispensaries in Denver that sell the green little guys (in alphabetical order), with more to be added as I find them.

Veritas is feeling the love this Valentine’s Day — and it wants you to, too. Veritas Fine Cannabis has a few strains that it suggests will help make your evening a memorable one. “Cannabis is something that, in an intimate environment, is going to make it better,” says Jon Spadafora, a sales and marketing representative for Veritas.

Although strains can affect people in different ways, sativas are generally going to provide increased energy and focus, while indicas will calm the mood like a nice merlot.

Three years ago, a group of women came together in Denver to form their own cannabis community, which they called Women Grow. Today the organization has more than 1,500 members in 35 states, and each chapter gets together the first Thursday of every month. “This is the power of women coming together!” says Leah Heise, CEO of Women Grow.

In honor of these ganjapreneurs, here are our favorite Instagram posts from this week’s Women Grow 2017 Leadership Summit.
