Many companies have holiday-themed edibles that we wait for all year; others have items that we especially enjoy during the holiday season. Here are our ten favorite Colorado edibles, to enjoy when there’s snow on the ground and a chill in the air.

1. Bhang Cherries and Cream Chocolate Bar

Bhang’s Cherries and Cream Chocolate Bar won the 2015 World Cannabis Cup for Edibles. Bhang specializes in edibles made with fairly traded Venezuelan criollo cacao; Cherries and Cream combines gourmet cherries with the company’s award-winning milk chocolate bar and contains 180 mg of THC. Interesting fact: Bhang is a Hindi word describing an edible form of cannabis that has been used in India since 2000 BCE.

Dear Stoner: I have bouts of nausea for days sometimes, and I’ve heard that pot tea can help. Do you know how to make it? I live in Colorado, so it’s legal here.
Blizz

Dear Blizz: You’ve heard correctly — pot tea can be a marvel for those suffering from nausea. But since water isn’t a strong enough solvent to boil for extraction, making a cup is not as simple as putting ground-up pot in a teabag with boiling water. If you’re good using milk or butter in hot drinks, you can make a chai tea or latte by whipping up your own infused butter or milk: Mix ground herb into a simmering pan of milk or butter and let it heat on low for a few hours, then strain out the pot and add the liquid to your hot beverage of choice.

How to get rich quick from the marijuana boom without having anything to do with marijuana? Sell someone a pot-oriented domain name for big bucks! May sound like a long shot, but we found plenty of people on Denver Craigslist trying this tack, peddling sometimes clever/sometimes bizarre/sometimes stupid domain names for $100,000 or more — although bidding at one focusing on hemp starts at just 99 cents and others are more reasonably priced. Check out our ten favorites below, complete with links to the items plus original text and (usually but not always) the art from the ads.

Weedeater.

No other musical genre (aside from reggae) has a stronger connection to the cannabis lifestyle than heavy metal, hence the term ‘stoner metal.’ But of course, this term describes a subgenre that can encompass different types of metal music and mean different things to different folks; whether you’re into that slow burning, hazy sound or a faster heavier more intense variety, there are as many ‘ stoner’ metal bands as there are strains of marijuana.
Backbeat writer Alex Distefano compiled a list of metal artists are best heard in a more mellow state of mind; but be warned, while some of these bands might look stoned in appearance, they all possess similar sound waves and patterns that heavy are enough to shatter your glass bong. So burn a bowl of your best stash, and turn your speakers up loud this 4/20 weekend. Bongripper? Weedeater? Bongzilla? Cannabis Corpse? Do they even make the list? Laketta Ransom.

It’s 3 a.m. You’re driving around a Dallas suburb hot-boxing your car when the cops pull you over for a minor traffic violation. Smoke billows from the window as the officer approaches. The smell of marijuana is unmistakable. What do you do?
NORML, the national pot-advocacy group, has a handy primer on its website, also printable as a wallet-sized “Freedom Card”, that gives some tips. Hide the weed, as well as any paraphernalia; refuse any warrantless search of your person; be polite, and don’t physically resist. Laketta Ransom, 38, carries no such card in her purse. Dallas Observer has the full, ridiculous tale.
