Whoopi Goldberg: “Smoking cigarettes and pot every now and then are my habits”

Comedian Whoopi Goldberg has admitted she smoked marijuana just before the 1991 Academy Awards ceremony, and said she was quite high when she gave her acceptance speech for winning Best Supporting Actress for her role in the movie Ghost.

“Smoking cigarettes and pot every now and then are my habits,” the current host of The View explained in footage obtained by TMZ on Thursday. “And I thought, ‘I’ve got to relax,’ So I smoked a joint, my homegrown,” to calm down before the Oscars.
She then described the shock be being announced as the winner and said she remembers trying hard to focus “to just get to the stage,” reports the New York Post.
“When he [presenter Denzel Washington]said my name and I popped up, I thought, ‘Oh, fuck’ … OK, up the stairs … around to the podium … there’s millions of people, get the statue, pick up the statue,” Goldberg said.
This isn’t the first time Whoopi’s talked about pot in public. Back in 2009 she came to Olympic champion swimmer Michael Phelps’ defense after the infamous photo swept the Internet of Phelps hitting a bong.

“Charlie Sheen” weed will run you $70 an eighth, $400 an ounce at many Los Angeles dispensaries.

Medical marijuana dispensaries in California are selling cannabis with the strain name “Charlie Sheen” in a tribute to the headline-grabbing star.

The Charlie Sheen marijuana, reportedly with a THC content of 23 percent, was flying off the shelves at several shops last week, reports TMZ.
Demand for the new strain was so high that growers were being asked to put in more crops to keep up with the demand, the celebrity website reported.
In a move that couldn’t have hurt sales of Charlie Sheen the marijuana strain, Charlie Sheen the actor defended his increasingly erratic behavior by saying last week, “I am on a drug. It’s called Charlie Sheen.”

Natalie Kenly, AKA “Natty Baby,” was the “Official 2010 Chronic Girl” for Cali Chronic X magazine.

Charlie Sheen’s new girlfriend, 24-year-old Natalie Kenly, is a marijuana bikini model. Kenly is regularly featured in Cali Chronic X magazine and was even named “Chronic Girl 2010.”

Kenly, a graphic designer and former cheerleader also known as “Natty Baby,” was recently featured on the cover of the magazine posing with a bong, reports X17.
Sheen first showed off his new girlfriend on Monday while doing an educational video for “at-risk kids” for his pal Todd Zeile’s foundation, L.I.F.E.
Sheen, 45, was photographed smooching Kenly, who recently dyed her hair blonde.
According to Radar Online, Kenly, who was reared in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles, was arrested in 2006 for underage drinking in Lake Havasu, Arizona.
Charlie began to pursue Natalie a few months ago after seeing her on the cover of Cali Chronic X‘s February 2010 issue, co-editor Jeffrey Peterson told TMZ.

When Chuck Norris does push-ups, he doesn’t lift himself up. He pushes the Earth down.

Chuck Norris can put you in a world of pain. But never fear; the new “Chuck Norris” pot strain can probably relieve it.

Los Angeles dispensaries are featuring a new strain of medical marijuana — and Walker Texas Ranger star Chuck Norris reportedly isn’t thrilled.

The new strain, “Chuck Norris’ Black and Blue Dream” is rumored to have (you guessed it!) a real “kick” to it, reports
It’s definitely an unauthorized use of the martial arts star’s name, according to Chuck’s representative, but the Norris team reportedly hasn’t decided yet if legal action will be taken.
“Maybe Chuckie should just lighten up,” opines the Boston Herald. “Or at least trademark his name so he can make a few bucks off it!”
But, as noted by the Herald, that’s seems rather unlikely, given the 70-year-old Norris’s very conservative political views. (The pugilistic partisan even served on the board of directors of the National Council on Bible Curriculum in Public Schools.)

In which Miley takes a salvia hit and has “a little bit of a bad trip”

OK, so maybe it wasn’t really marijuana in that bong rip pop princess Miley Cyrus takes in the viral video that’s sweeping the web, but it’s still attracting plenty of attention and making the young Hannah Montana star a host of potential new friends.

According to reports, the substance in the bowl was salvia, which is a potent psychedelic and, while legal, is ironically also a rougher ride than cannabis (yes, I’ve smoked my share of both).
Miley was shown in a friend’s cell phone video a few days after her 18th birthday taking a hit from a bong and then told her friend she was having “a little bit of a bad trip.”

Willie Nelson’s arrest on November 26 for marijuana possession led to speculation that the country music legend might have to do prison time, because the six-ounce amount initially reported constituted a felony in Texas. But officials later “determined the amount” of pot to be only four ounces, earning the 77-year-old misdemeanor charge instead.

After cops “analyzed the case,” they “realized” the amount of pot was only about four ounces, which, whadda ya know, means a lesser charge.

Now, is it really possible that local law enforcement there in Hudspeth County, Texas is so deeply incompetent as to over-weigh the evidence by 50 percent? Or did they — reacting to the monsoon of negative media coverage they got for booking and charging the elderly Nelson — “lose” a couple of ounces so they could knock the charges down to a misdemeanor, with a $4,000 fine and a maximum year in the county jail?

A few years ago, Kurtis Blow found God. Thursday morning, the TSA found weed in Blow’s pants.

TSA Finds ‘An Anomaly’ In Rapper’s Pants

Legendary rapper Kurtis Blow, 51, was busted Thursday morning at Los Angeles International Airport after a TSA body scanner detected “an anomaly” in his pants, which turned out to be a bag of marijuana.

Law enforcement sources told website TMZ that after the new body scanner detected an item in his pocket, a resulting pat-down revealed the weed.
Blow, real name Kurtis Walker Combs, who now says he is a pastor, got a ticket for marijuana possession — after all, an ounce or under of pot is decriminalized in California — and went, weedless, on his way.

Willie Nelson could be sentenced to between six months and two years for being busted with six ounces of marijuana on Friday.

Thanks to our fearless Border Patrol, music legend Willie Nelson, 77, could face up to two years in prison for his marijuana possession arrest, according to a criminal defense attorney in Austin.

The attorney told website TMZ that Willie’s arrest for six ounces of weed at a Border Patrol checkpoint could get the singer six months minimum and up to two years in prison.
However, ace L.A. pot attorney Bruce Margolin — who’s also director of the Los Angeles chapter of NORML, the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws — said that Willie might dodge prison time if he could convince a jury that he just forgot the pot was on the bus.
Margolin believes Nelson should say the pot was California-grown, with California, of course, being the first of 15 states which have legalized the medicinal use of cannabis.
The bust went down at the Sierra Blanca, Texas checkpoint after Nelson’s tour bus pulled in Friday morning and a Border Patrol officer smelled marijuana through the vehicle’s open door.

Ralphie May: “These dogs love me!”

Comedian Ralphie May described himself as an “idiot” after he got caught carrying marijuana through customs in Guam after he approached and petted a drug-sniffing dog because he thought it was cute.

May was busted in the incident last week, but only had to pay a small fine because he was carrying less than an ounce, reports TMZ.
The comedian, who has a California medical marijuana card, said he didn’t realize the pot was in his bag when, on his way through customs, he went up to the dog and started petting it.
