• A little known fact is wild hemp grows along most railways in the USA. Hemp seeds would fall along the tracks during transport before hemp was banned. Walk along a rail line and you will see them.

•  I have a suggestion: a Pot Amnesty Weekend. Anyone who wants to smoke, can... and the police can arrest someone only if they actually endanger the public or break a law OTHER than possession/use (in other words, selling activities would not be included in the Amnesty). I suggest a weekend because I think the Typical American Politician would freak at the idea of a whole week. Oh, one caveat: anyone who DOES endanger the public (ie., flying passengers, doing surgery, etc.) while high would have to fork over BIG civil damages and face criminal penalties if damage is done to anything or anyone through their fault. It would be interesting to see if we could actually tell the difference. Snack sales might rise.

• In 1971 when I helped raise money for NORML, I often had young, naive people tell me how certain there were that cannabis would be legalized within a few years. I told them then that it would likely never happen because there is WAY too much cash changing hands under the table and now, cop agencies have been raking in heaps of dough for decades. How else are stoopid people going to make that kind of money? Dylan was right: "Money doesn't talk, it screams." I have personally seen the payoffs and evil cops at work in this mess - they will NOT change until over 200 million sheeple wake up and demand it.

• Presumably the pi... cops only began to suspect something was amiss once back at the station with their 'evidence'. And no matter how much of it they smoked, they didn't get high. Either that, or when they had their drug dealer contact round to the station to give a quote for the harvested plants, the guy cracked up laughing.

• You can't grow pot or hemp for anything useful even though there are thousands of uses. On the other hand, Canada and the U.S. have huge swaths of prime land growing genetically modified crops. Studies done in Canada have shown that fully half of the Monarch butterfly catapillars that eat gm corn pollen off the leaves of milkweed die. The truly scary thing about this is that the Monsanto researchers had no idea that this would happen. What else don't these assholes know? You can be shot dead by the cops for having pot, and yet it's "a" ok to experiment with genetics if it makes a profit. We're screwed unless people start showing some spine. Just spreading the word will make a huge difference.

• Yes, there are a pretty hibiscus and some dwarf maples that resemble " it "; but here's my guess: Datista Glomerata... Durango Root, or Durango Weed. Grows tall and thick in watercourses here in sunny California; even looks similar when it starts to flower--- just never produces anything budlike. It's poisonous to cattle. I hope the officers didn't breathe the fumes. Remember a few years ago, over in Malibu, a multi-agency task force murdered a fella to seize his ranch? Remember how they kicked in the door without announcement and blew him down in front of his girlfriend---- then launched a multi-month pan-media smear campaign portraying her as both a slut and a whore? That was over Durango Root. It grew at the base of a cliff on the edge of his property--- they rappeled down that cliff in a "training" exercize and in plain view, there it was-- the evil Durango plant. This allowed "the law" to get a no knock warrant and attain a sweet little multi-million dollar, 60 acre, ocean view property. If you live near this plant, even if you dont keep cattle or goats, you must eradicate it---- it's just not worth the attention it can draw.

• Is probably a native Texas plant I used to raise.. called Texas Star.. is a type of hibiscus plant.. when I had them cops came to my home and asked about them.. i showed them the seed bags.. and a catalog where I ordered them.. they look a lot like pot before they flower.. flowers are beautiful red flowers.. But pot heads also mistake them for pot.. I had a 2 acre field raided durning one night and they took all the flowers I had planted. • I was stationed in Flour Bluff in the Navy and was arrested on base for marijuana seeds in my 71 VW. Turned out the grounds keepers dispersed grass seed for the lawn and they were sprayed in my car. I was later released and the possession charge dropped.
