People die from prohibition, getting swat teamed, and gang violence. No one dies of pot moron. The judge was lenient? 10 years in jail for something that shouldn't be illegal? Screw you a-hole
-
I hope the judge gets a painful form of cancer which causes her to die in agony That is the only punishment which fits her crime of remorselessly stealing someones life. I hope the judge has a chance to think about that while she burns in hell
-
Insanity. Oklahoma is a police state.
-
Heck yeah. Rich people are making a lot of money on both sides of the war. The the added danger in the drug war makes the entire industry extremely profitable, If we stop using this war to kill people and destroy lives, then how will rich men find money to use to pay for their palaces?
-
now explain to me why everyone is for peaceful protest? honestly they arent peaceful when they leave innocent children without parents, they arent peaceful when they steal our hard earned dollars and call it taxes then use the taxes to arrest us, one dead cop is a prayer answered, one dead d.e.a. agent is a week of prayers answered. i bet if cartels made an assault on them things would change quickly, thats what the cartels should do, home invasions of police officers and shoot up the 15th birthday party for the son of a cop, not innocent civilians.
-
We want to change the attitudes and there has to be a just behavior.

Insane: She gets ten yet Dope Inc gets US Presidents paided off. Corrupts the TSA, allows the border to be wide open. Yet Tyranny for the Citizens! She was too little to cover the political payoffs. The Big Boys aka. The Bronfman-Lansky Syndicate do not like competition. Judge Pritchett - What are you doing abou the Mafia in OK? aka. The "No Child Left Behind Program". The "No Place for Hate Program". The ADL/Capone-Syndicate. The Laidlaw now First Student School Bus Leasing Contracts to the Mafia. Judge Prichett what are you doing about the kickbacks on these contracts to public officials?
-
Oh in addition the governor of each state is responsible for instilling all laws. If he doesn't do his job and get this woman out of jail I would so remove him from his appointment. The world doesn't need another lazy politician in office that does not care for the rights of the people he is to help govern.
-
You know what that is bullshit to treat a person like that. The people of Oklahoma should stand up for her. We were given rights to make our own laws per state on marijuana. The voice of the people is the state no matter what anyone says. You have a right to protest and over through any government in the pursuit of happiness, and whatever else it was. The Government should be ashamed for even allowing such a thing to happen. $31 dollars of weed for 10 years in jail away from her family. BTW, Chad get a clue some word, and education your baby making machine comments are rude and obnoxious don't you have an abortion rally to attend? This should be appealed to the supreme court who ruled any person found guilty of an action involving Alcohol, Drugs, or an Addiction can not be held liable for there actions. This woman was doing what she needed to do in a society over run by money for the bottom line. Don't hate the player hate the game.
-
I've never heard of anyone dying from smoking too much marijuana. I have seen people come near to dying from drinking too much water, and I'm sure some have died from it. Does this mean we should restrict the sale of water? Actually, if you ask people on the street if they are in favour of banning the sale of Dihydrogen Monoxide (the chemical name for water, which many dumbed down public schooled morons don't know), most of them will say YES, it should be outlawed. Cocaine has many medical uses. Smoking crack will clear most any asthma attack. The military has long used methamphetamine and other amphetamines to combat fatigue. Heroin is simply an opiate, and the opiates have better medical uses than most any substance. All substances have good uses, and it is none of Big Brother's business how we use them. Just don't try to deceive someone, selling something which isn't what you claim it is. That would be FRAUD, which is a real crime.
-
This woman did NOTHING unlawful, by the Constitution, or by the common law, or by God's Law. We all have the Right in this country to keep or grow or sell or make or use any substances we see fit. This is NOT supposed to be a Big Brother nanny State, where you must ask permission from Big Brother, as to how you medicate yourself, or what medicines you raise or make or sell. This is TOTAL TYRANNY. God's word advises against drunkenness, but not against drinking. I presume God's word would say the same thing about any other substance. The Real Law, meaning the Common Law (which is largely based upon God's Law) only can come against you for causing harm to another or his property. As long as you are truthful about the substance you are selling, there shouldn't be any problem. Every substance on earth has it's good uses, and it's bad uses. You can overdose drinking too much water and die from it.
-
well, i admit the Judge was an !@#$%, but that woman was an even bigger !@#$% as stupid and irresponsible as she was, it's probably best that the baby-making machine was taken out of action, since it doesn't seem that all those babies she is making will contribute anything positive to her community/society.
-
The street terrorists strike again. This is awful.
-
"you will get more time for possession of marijuana than rape, even rape of a child!" This should give you a clue as to what our law makers do for kicks. CONgress is full of pedophiles. Just like the Roman Catholic clergy. I'm surprised there's actual any laws against rape and pedophilia.
-
this judge is pure scum...i hope she gets arrested for dui and goes to jail for life so she knows what injustice feels like....ugly fat pig!i nominate her as the worlds most disgusting looking judge
-
I think it's time for a revolution in your country. That is one of the most disgusting stories I have ever heard.I live in the police state of Victoria Australia and we are not that fucked up yet. You should all support that lady....get out on the streets and kick some butt!!!
-
Yes it is ABSOLUTELY about the money. Putting people in prison is one the few INDUSTRIES left in America. Manufacturing is gone, the keynesian model is done, crashed and burned. There is little left except to drain the remaining taxpayers to tax-fund an ever increasing prison-for-profit industry. Putting anyone in prison for marijuana (especially nowadays) is beyond bizarre. We need to push back at the power mongers.

Ron Paul for president in 2012. He is for civil liberties.

the first rope put up will be reserved for this despicable judge pritshit when we take this country back America is alreay more of a police state than Hitler ever dreamed of..

"The amount of people killed by pot, and the trafficking thereof, is largely unpublicized." sir i have been smoking for over 41 years and i have never had one of my friends DIE from pot smoking or eating it. as far as the trafficking in marijuana, if it was legal we could grow our own and no transport would be needed. to say that you think the judge was lenient in her sentencing of Spottedcrow for involving the kids is absolutely ridiculous and it's people with those attitudes that keep ignorant laws in place and some simple minded people probably agree with you, but how many "kids" have run to the fridge to get dad another beer? but then we have to remember alcohol is legal, even though 100's of 1000's die yearly from this legal drug and it's legal effects, drunk driving, drunken murder (that the individual can not remember), drunken pregnancies. c'mon man wake the hell up, this isn't nazi germany, this is government propaganda and fear that makes this seem right to fanatics like you. people with attitudes like yours disgust me, and believe me ignorance is curable, you just have to want to get smarter and saying this woman basically got what she deserved and the judge was lenient doesn't bode well for your moral and ethical stance and big brother attitude
-
It is and will get worse unfortunately. They will and are starting to put people away for the small things. Prison is one thing but i'm sure none of you saw this: (It has nothing to do with the article above but things are spiraling that way) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEofy7fsIGk

I agree. I pray these cold hearted bastards like this fat ass judge drop dead ASAP ...or sooner!

In Oklahoma, the Judges RUN the drug operations. And the cops are in on it. They must of been pissed cause she was free lancing.
-
Did any one notice this is an Indian family? Native American? Having lived in Oklahoma, I can tell you that few states could possibly be more corrupt, nor predjudice. 4 local boys broke into a pawn shop. the 3 white boys were sent home. The Indian boy was sent to McCallister, hard core prison time for a juvie. Saw this again and again...

if it makes you feel any better i don't drink alcohol. I don't take anti-depressants, and i've never tried any drug thats stronger then ibuprofen. I don't even live in the freaking states, so, no i don't know anything about the CIA. I was simply stating that as an outside observer if u break the law you should be punished. I'll admit 10 years is a bit harsh, but she was offered 3 and turned it down.
-
lame...the judge is lame, but i'm sure members of your fam. have done things that you shouldn't be penalized for...think about things a lil more before you rant and rave...the judge will get what is coming to her!
-
Tim, I would award you and John Dion a shared the DOUCHE OF THE CENTURY award, except that maybe that would be better given to Judge Pritchett and the cops who brought this case. Then again chances are you are, related to them, or performing sexual acts on them (I mean literally we know you are fellating them metaphorically).
-
A pretty good example of what happens when outrageous meets stupid. The judge was outrageous. But carrying pot to a sentencing hearing? I wouldn't have sentenced her to anything. But I would have taken her children away because she is clearly too stupid to raise them.
-
This is an insane sentence! 48% in prison for non violent drug offenses, that is just a huge burden on the penal system and the social system that has to support the many broken families it creates. I think it is done to support the people that build, supply and work the prison and criminal system. Just another government program being supplied by the judicial system under the guise of being tough on crime.
-
Judges are not super citizens! basically created 4 orphans is the name of proctecting children , Poor mother of 4 trying to provide for her kids having her life dismantled by a wealthy educated bloated bureaucrat...justice without wisdom
-
Ohhh Remember. The US Troops are in Afghanistan because Afghanistan has 92% of the worlds OPIUM. Because The Taliban threw out the OPIUM DRUGLORDS. Because The Druglords have the most powerful lobbies in Washington which is AIPAC and ADL. Threw that influence president George W.Bush sent them into Afghanistan And Obama is continuing sending troops and spending money on the war in Afghanistan. Because the troops are there to get the Opium Druglords back their money. Man,ain't the American Government such hypocrites.
-
The War on drugs = The war on you = The war on me. Stop the insanity.
-
The terrorists fighting against America must be kicking themselves right now. How many people blew themselves up unnecessarily as the US degenerated so low on its own accord? War is peace, torture is normal, everyone's phone and internet are tapped - and a corrupt state puts a mother in a cage 10 years for selling small amounts of a medicinal plant. If the public there don't stand up & right this wrong soon, they'd better get used to being stomped on like this for generations.
-
So very very wrong. What sort of incredibly fucked up people would let this evil happen? I would happily donate to a lawyers fund, this is outrageous.
-
Our tax dollars at work.
-
This is fucked up... Seriously can we grow up yet.. If you sell booze your not punished.. so.... seriously can we grow up yet and act logically?
-
while the US government continues to pillage Afghanistan with war and a occupation that has set up a puppet, corrupt government -- 85% of Afghanistans OPIUM that is flown out is by private US military planes! Now tell me who the REAL drug distributers, criminals and dealers are!! These judges serve a racist and false "justice" system. What a hypocrisy this is - this nothing but turing the poor into commodities for the Prison Industrial Complex. As tupac said, "rater than a war on poverty, they have a war on drugs so the police can bother me" this empire is on self-destruction.
-
"pretend she was remorseful"...that's a good one and Kaylea, I agree, petty crap like this takes up court time, yet drugs offenses will give u more time than rape, murder and the like (however, I do not condone hard drugs and/or trafficking which is not to be likened w/this). What is wrong w/this country, My late uncle was a Boston cop and he warned me in the early 80's that they are training police like the militia now, that is our system. Lock up a young woman w/4 children for 10 yrs!, My God, these kids are going to grow up hating the law (w/good reason) Our country is the most imprisoned nation in the world, doesn't that say something, we are a country of slaves, it's time w/so many people out of work and for what, the few elite? It starts w/you, you & you to do something about it. Organize a peaceful demonstration at your capital, get educated on the politics, EVENTUALLY, things will HAVE TO change. Isn't this how womens & ethnic rights got started? I am a firm believer in voicing MY opinion when I feel it's the right thing to do - You?
-
I dont think she deserved 10 years. She should not have done it with children around. I dont think marijuana should be legal. It is a drug. What I do think is that it should be legal for medical patients. not just anyone looking to get high.
-
Cleadus incest is illegal yet you still enjoy your sister's company
-
That judge should be in prison. What an amazingly evil thing to do. What perverted state of mind does someone have to be in to think for a second that this is OK? There is no possible ethical or moral justification for this evil. This judge is a criminal and an enemy of civil society. Horrible, hust horrible.
-
I agree the sentence dosent fit the crime. Two thoughts: 1) Who sells $11 dollars of pot. Why not even number like 10? why the extra dollar? Did the cop ask for $11 worth of pot, should have known. 2)there must be more to the story. Are their court transcrips we could request and put online.
-
Drugs = Check Oklahoma = Check Mexican =..yep.. Check Woah.... I lived in Oklahoma before... I know how it is down there. Insane....
-
our courts have turned our justice system into money makeing racket, with no justice. A $11340 total fines for a $31 crime. This is crazy. Our constitution says;No excessive bails. I assume this applies to fines too. This is definitely excesssive. I don't believe this excessive fine is lawful. All the laws I have ever read in a law book, gives a maximum fine, which is based on the amount in contraversy, that is to keep judges from giveing judgements of excessive fines. I don't know about Oklahoma, but $31 is not a felony In Arkansas.Susie Pritchett along with many other judges should be horse whipped, tared and feathered and road out of town on a rail and then take her life savings away. If they do it again, hangum high.
-
CONGRATULATIONS!!! You've just won the DOUCHE of the year award.
-
This is the role of government people - to terrorize the citizenry, to steal from the citizenry, and to enslave the citizenry. How many people are protesting this travesty in Oklahoma?
-
Hey. It cures everything even cancer. It's the pharmicutical companies and the medical industried that have done this. It became illegal by the corrupt government and stays that way cuz of a curropt goverment. They've got a lot of mooney invested in the poisons that kill us and it's really paying off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0psJhQHk_GI YOU TUBE--RUN FORM THE CURE--FULL VERSION-this guy cures cancer http://ushempmuseum.com/Prohibiton.html HOW THE GOVERNMENT & THE VERY WEALTHY CONSPIRED TO MAKE THE CURE ILLEGAL In 1974 researchers at the Medical College of Virginia, who had been funded by the National Institute of Health to find evidence that marijuana damages the immune system, found instead that THC slowed the growth of three kinds of cancer in mice - lung and breast cancer, and a virus-induced leukemia. The DEA quickly shut down the Virginia study and all further cannabis/tumor research, according to Jack Herer, who reports on the events in his book, "The Emperor Wears No Clothes." In 1976 President Gerald Ford put an end to all public cannabis research and granted exclusive research rights to major pharmaceutical companies, who set out - unsuccessfully - to develop synthetic forms of THC that would deliver all the medical benefits without the "high." Send this to everyone you know. Eat cannabis-stay healthy I swear it!
-
Oklahoma court system must be a little behind the times... Hey Okies, FYI i guess you missed the memo, nowadays its bad P.R. to imprison a brownskinned minority native woman for many years, just for a couple grams of pot! oh well, you are only helping further the momentum towards federal medical legislation & ultimately re-legalization of cannabis/hemp. good day
-
John, how can I put this kindly? Let's see: you are a failed attempt at a human being. You lack both critical thinking skills and empathy. I pray that you never have any children, because any karmically correct repercussion for your astonishing insensitivity would surely orphan them. In which case they would at least garner some sympathy and no longer be subjected to your own tyrannical whims. Please find some critical component of industrial infrastructure nearby and devise a way whereby your taking it out will snuff out your life in the process. Only thus will your time on Earth not have been a total failure. And for the record: I am a huge poorly-written-article snob, and this doesn't bother me. With the exception of a 'to' that should have been a 'two'.
-
the U.S is in for a surprise , your fall will not be terrorism from abroad it will come from within your borders if you continue to treat each other as the enemy . you must begin to help the system change with the times . legalizing pot is perhaps to much to ask . decriminalize some of these petty crimes may be the answer . as a Canadian I dread the thought of entering your country for fear of being treated like just another boy . to be pulled over for a traffic violation and held at gun point because the officer is trained to shoot first and ask questions later is no way to do business . your economy is based on hard working people doing what needs to be done. with the hard workers quickly becoming the minority it's only a matter of time .
-
This just makes me sick, it is hard enough for children to grow up without a parent let alone the government take the parent away to prison for some weed, they act like it was a real hard drug, those poor kids will suffer now without a mother. I know having a parent in prison can be hard on children as well as the spouse because mine is in prison & raising 2 boys without him is no cake walk. My heaart goes out to that whole family for what they r goin threw!!!
-
Surely a suspended sentence would have been enough of a punishment to encourage the mother to rethink her position. I can't help but feel that she deserved a second chance. I don't agree that pot is completely harmless. In moderation I don't think it's a problem, but smoking everyday encourages apathy and laziness in many people. I smoked an excessive amount of marijuana everyday for about 4-5 years in my late teens/early twenties. Thinking back now, these years were a hazy blur in which I accomplished absolutely nothing due to an induced lack of motivation. Also, at the time my short term memory was almost non-existent. For this reason I don't think marijuana should be legalized, but I definitely feel that the punishments should be less severe. I'm now a pre-med student, and I still smoke pot recreationally a few times a year, and I don't feel that this is a problem.
-
No lawmakers? I hope your only referring to WI. Many (but obviously still a low amount) lawmakers have publicly stated they want marijuana legalized.
-
If it was legal I can guarantee that she wouldn't be trying to sell it, because she'd need a business license and her potential income would be grossly less than what she made. While I also believe it should be legalized, saying that all prior arrests should get an apology is ridiculous. The amount of people killed by pot, and the trafficking thereof, is largely unpublicized. Legalizing it will go a long way in reducing this number but I do not believe this lady should be given a slap on the wrist. This article is poorly written and tries to make her sound like she's innocent for selling only $31 dollars worth of pot. She obviously sold more than this amount, plus she was involving her kids in the sale. I agree the judge was lenient as those kids should not be with the mother OR the grandmother, but that's why the judge did what she did.
-
Cleatus, you are an a-hole. That ugly obese judge should be charged for eating too many Big Macs and endangering hers and others lives. She clearly lacks self control, who is she to judge? She has a substance abuse problem too.. UNHEALTHY FOOD....she is a risk...she may have a heart attack while driving. Too bad she didnt retire BEFORE thia poor womans trial. "Not only is it right to break an unjust law, it is our duty to do so" Thomas Jefferson.
-
The judge made it clear what the problem is: Spottedcrow refused to bow down before the government.
-
Like this? New Republican House Bends Own Rules Just how hard will it be for the Tea Party Congress to live up to its sharp campaign rhetoric? Pretty hard, if its new rules ordeal is any sign: just hours after passing a sweeping set of new rules for incoming House of Representatives, Republicans are making exceptions for their top agenda items. They called for bills to go through a regular committee process, but their bill to repeal Obamacare will be allowed to skip committee. They called for a more open amendment process, but won't let the repeal bill be touched. They called for a strict committee attendance list to be posted online, then decided to scratch that one. They promised constitutional citations for every bill, but have yet to add that sort of language to any actual legislation. Republicans say there are subtle reasons for all their exceptions, but their difficulty committing to their own rules shows just how hard it is to be a purist in Washington.
-
You are in denial. The roots of the drug were go back to Wilson, a progressive. I have never once denied the fact that Republicans expanded the drug war, so you're preaching to the choir at this point. Cognitive dissonance is a powerful state of mind.
-
Authoritarian conservatives conception of "freedom" at work in Oklahoma.
-
f**k the war on drugs. Right in the ear.
-
I agree Acepar, if we were truly free I could shoot you in the head for being a complete retard and not worry about going to jail. But instead I have to listen to you vomit propaganda and have to just deal with it. Stupid LAWS they should all be repealed so we can do whatever we want, and the gov't should pay us all to stay home and suck the taxpayers teet.
-
A wealthy white woman would have the brains not to sell marijauna in front of her kids, and she would have the brains to pretend that she was remorseful.
-
Well actually, "Starr was fined $8,600 and Spottedcrow $2,740.", $11340 sounds like a good return on $31 worth of pot.
-
Good riddens to you sir, if you think that laws should not be enforced than please stay out of OK.
-
....and yet not one banker or wall street financier, the people who committed the highest of white collar crimes bilking the economy out of billions and billions of dollars, of forcing people to lose their homes and business to go bankrupt--not one banker has seen the inside of a court room let alone the inside of a prison. This country is going to hell in a hand basket.
-
Want to solve a budget problem stop wasting government money on this and start making government money on it instead.
-
Sadly I think it has come down to just waiting for the people who have blind opposition against a harmless medicine to die off. The only good thing I can see out of this is towards the end of the alcohol prohibition things got really crazy, so maybe hopefully this is a sign that things are finally coming to an end. Now i'm going to go take my legal oxycontin in front of my 2 year old and get patted on the back for helpin those huge drug dealers (i mean pharmaceutical companies) out.
-
Ya freedom my ass you drive drunk get 15 drunk driving tickets and never do anytime in prison but you sell marijuana your looked at as the biggest criminal in the world and cigarettes are legal you need a cigarette every hour just so you do flip out and hurt people fuck the government I'm moving to Canada free the weed free your mind free the world!
-
This is RIDICULOUS. When the judge asserted that it was a dangerous substance, why did the lawyer or whoever not ask for proof that it was dangerous? And how is pot more dangerous for the children then them not having enough income(or their mother!) to survive?! this is a classic example of how the government steals from the poor to give to the rich! they say we are free in this country, we aren't free, and i challenge anybody to claim otherwise. i'm so glad i left oklahoma, i hated that place.
-
We VOTED for change. Now it's the Democrats that are trying to pervert the system. Please remember that.
-
"... We look at attitude". WE TOO ! (put a SPELL on that BITCH)
-
Isn't it always about the money?
-
Adding on to the previous poster: I completely agree. Bobby; do you know ANYTHING about the CIA, the history of Marijuana in the development of the U.S.A., or even simpler, do you understand the definition of FREEDOM? Obviously not. You sir, are a piece of *&^% I'll say it. I also love how every parent that mindlessly commits people to our correction system for marijuana, drinks alcohol and pops anti-depressants... Really ??? In case you didn't know Bobby: ANTI-DEPRESSANTS ARE PHARMACEUTICAL GRADE METHANPHETAMINES and ALCOHOL IS A FAR WORSE DRUG so go F&%^ YOURSELF dirtbag!
-
ummm...idiot...NO lawmakers want to legalize it. So who do you think will copy the Wisconsin plan?
-
And you my friend, can leave this country anytime. It was not funded on the principles you speak of, in fact the founding fathers and the real constitution would have forced you to become an enemy of the state. Learn history Don't be such a nub.
-
So, when are we gonna stand up to prosecutors and judges that enforce these crimes. Hold them accountable, get in their faces, go to their homes, force them out of your local communities. Otherwise it will be your kids and grand-kids next....
-
Well, she's an idiot for having pot in her jacket on the way to prison. Yea, the punishment is harsh, but she's not even trying.
-
OMG they actually expect people to obey the laws? Next thing you know they will expect us to get jobs and take care of our own families instead of living on welfare and food stamps. WTF
-
The lesson here is: don't live in Oklahoma.
-
Its not entirely about the money but i think i can speak for everyone when i say i don't want to help pay $50,000/yr for this woman to go to prison. So speaking selfishly i dont want my taxes to go towards non-violent incarcerations.
-
So, why would anyone sell $11 worth of pot? I think that's what the sentence is mainly for: just not realizing that selling $11 of bud is retarded.
-
I dont like the new world order and their view on herbs and organic crops. This woman should be free tonight. The people who do this, well their tme is running out
-
You people are retards it obviously wasn't just $31 worth. The fact that she sold to the same guy twice and the fact that police informants were even checking her out means she was selling drugs on a pretty regular bases. What makes me sick about all this is that she did it with 4 kids in her house and she did it even though she knew the consequences. Selling drugs is illegal and until its legal people should be punished for it.
-
The US Kangaroo COurts are a joke. Period. www.being-anon.tk
