Hey, that weed smells like... a publicity stunt! Veteran comedian Joan Rivers freaked out some American TV viewers on Tuesday by smoking marijuana on her reality show.
Rivers was shown getting medicinal cannabis from a California dispensary before puffing it from a pipe while sitting in her car with a pal, reports WENN.com.
As the marijuana takes effect, Rivers dissolves into giggles and is driven home by a friend, stopping on the way to pick up burgers and fries.
Rivers' daughter Melissa was not amused.
"My 78-year-old mother has now become 17, and I have become a soccer mom yelling at her teenage kid," Melissa groused.
The scenes were broadcast on network WETV's reality show, Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best.

Smoking in a vehicle without a child or driving isn't a problem in my eyes. Why would it be? Just for visibility? Technically, your vehicle is an extension of your home, private domain inside.

This brings the marijuana usage to a whole new level of viewers. The women who were against marijuana for whatever reason now see that it's not so bad because celebrity Joan Rivers does it.
I agree.Its kinda sad that the majority of Americans are so stupid that they can't think for themselves and have to be told by some celebrity that marijuana is not evil.
LIFE IS FOR THE LIVING!!! I say kudos to Joan for wanting to have a little fun. She's not harming anyone else and there are a helluva lot worse things that people seek for enjoyment and sadly, those are legal. She's an adult and should be able to make her own choices about what she does with her time and money without a guilt trip from either her daughter or the public. From the sound of things, I think dear daughter Melissa needs a puff!
Joan, at 71 is very amusing and enjoying life! Great to see! Whom did she harm? Nobody. They had some fun.
This proves one thing, it wasn't the first time Joan got a buzz from cannabis. First timers don't get the effect the first time or maybe even the second time. And smoking in a vehicle is a big no no Joan. Lucky a drug warrior didn't pop your stunt bubble.
Technically, Prop215 says the vehicle can't be moving and since she was the passenger she wasn't DUI.
