Calling all retired jocks: cannabis doctors want you try out CBD.

Cannabis Clinicians Colorado, a group of healthcare professionals dedicated to studying medical marijuana, is recruiting sixteen retired athletes to participate in a study to see how using CBD affects qualities of life such as sleep and chronic pain.

Former athletes who have played collegiate or professional sports can sign up for a screening to see if they qualify to become CBD guinea pigs, testing how certain CBD products and dosages affect their overall health.

Happy National CBD Day, everyone. No, we’re not joking: National CBD Day is now a sort of official day on the calendar, according to the not very official National Day Calendar. But where did this day come from?

Several Colorado craft breweries have been making hard seltzer drinks as a way to soften declining beer sales, but Left Hand Brewing is twisting the formula a bit: Instead of adding booze to flavored sparkling water, the Longmont brewery is making seltzer water with CBD.

Partnering with Berthoud hemp and CBD supplier WAAYB Organics, Left Hand has created Present, a line of bubbly drinks with 20 milligrams of CBD per can, and no alcohol, sweeteners or calories. The tasteless CBD distillate is derived from industrial hemp, which contains 0.3 percent THC or less, and is not intoxicating.

You don’t need to smoke a joint or play hooky to celebrate 4/20 anymore. Just hit up a certain Carl’s Jr. in Denver that is testing CBD-infused burgers all day on Saturday, April 20.

Available only on 4/20 at the Carl’s Jr. located at 4050 Colorado Boulevard, the Rocky Mountain High CheeseBurger Delight will come topped with a mayonnaise-based Santa Fe Sauce infused with 5 milligrams of CBD. The CBD oil, derived from hemp, is provided by Colorado company BlueBird Botanicals.
