The time has arrived. The Livefyre commenting system is coming to Toke of the Town. The developers plan to push the button tomorrow.
Here are a few things you Toke-sters should know about Livefyre to avoid freaking yourselves out:

If all goes according to plan, Toke of the Town, along with all its Village Voice Media sister sites, will be rolling out the new Livefyre commenting system throughout the day tomorrow (Friday).

This is a big switch, so there might be a bit of weirdness while all the databases update. This isn’t proof of some sinister conspiracy, and it doesn’t mean that the Cops Are Watching You®.
It just might take a little while for all the older comments to be imported into the new system and appear.

You are witnessing cannabis history in the making.
You can clearly see what happened, in the illustration above. The government has changed the verbiage regarding cannabis on the National Cancer Institute’s cancer.gov website, only 11 days after it was added.

We demand that the original statement be re-posted as it was, and for the National Cancer Institute to stand by its original research statement.
