One of the biggest cannabis-oriented music events of the year will hit Oregon in early July.

The Hempstead World Music Festival 2011 with Toots & The Maytals, Dubtonic Kru, Nikii Davis, Rhythm Culture, Kool Johnny Kool and John Trudell & Bad Dog will directly benefit the Oregon Cannabis Tax Act 2012 and Hempstalk 2011.

Tour dates include:
• Saturday, July 2: Lane County Fairground, Eugene, OR
• Sunday, July 3: Deschutes County Fairground, Redmond/Bend, OR
• Monday, July 4: Washington Park Rose Garden Amphitheater, Portland, OR
Doors open at 3 p.m. at all three shows, with showtime at 4:20 p.m.
Ticket prices are $39 for general seating, $69 for preferred seating including poster and laminate, and $100 for seating in the VIP section, including meeting and greeting artists after the show, laminate, poster, and one dinner ticket.
All ages are welcome at the shows. Food, bear and wine vendors will be present.
Hempstead and Happy Hempy Productions are organizing these benefits on behalf of the Oregon Cannabis Act 2012, a petition campaign to restore hemp, and for the Portland Hempstalk Festival, an annual free festival at Portland’s Kelley Point Park on the second weekend of September.
The proceeds will be shared 50/50 between OCTA 2012 and Hempstalk.
KINK is proudly presenting the Hempstead World Music Festival 2011. Other sponsors include Humboldt Hemp Ale, Bend Radio Group, Comfort Suites, Full Court Press, THCF Clinics, Stew Dodge Sound, Oregon Constant Gardener and River’s Edge Cafe & Catering.
