An online physician will analyze diagnostic sent through the Internet and send daily updates. Software developed by BG Medical will find the most convenient ordering options and track history of all recommendations.

BG Medical Technologies, Inc., the parent company of Bud Genius, says it plans to engage both the $11 billion tele-healthcare market and the projected $14 billion medical marijuana market with Internet and smartphone applications to support natural medicine and wellness care.

Healthcare costs in the United States are some of the highest in the world, leaving many Americans uninsured, under-insured, or living in communities with access to affordable care. This problem worsens as American healthcare costs continue to rise each year.

Even for those who can afford healthcare, new problems are introduced. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that half of all Americans will be diagnosed with a mental illness in their lifetime.

Meanwhile, celebrity prescription drug deaths dominate media headlines, and pharmaceutical-related drug deaths now outnumber traffic fatalities in the United States.
BG Medical Technologies says it is introducing safe and affordable alternatives to traditional healthcare with Internet-based applications that support nutraceutical and medical marijuana treatments. Recently the company announced development of a diagnostic device designed to provide physicians with data to chart medical marijuana effectiveness over time.
According to BG, these systems will be made available to marijuana-recommending doctors and will include the ability to instantly link diagnostic data to a remote network of naturopathic doctors for further onsite and remote patient care. Patients will be informed of additional diagnostic findings and will be given the opportunity to pursue adjunct natural therapies in addition to medical marijuana treatments, the company announced.
“We’ve all had the experience of having our car serviced for a noticeable problem only to learn that once the mechanic examined under the hood, more ports were wearing out that endangered our safety,” said Angel Stanz, CEO of BG Medical Technologies. “We are making this type of preventative maintenance available to everyone.
“This is expected to save tens of thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket healthcare expenses per patient,” Stanz said.
According to Stanz, BG Medical is designing these systems to reduce patient costs while providing additional shared revenue to participating medical marijuana doctors, caregivers, and licensed naturopath physicians.
More information on how this technology will interact with patients and doctors can be found in the company’s articles section of their corporate website.
