I love hemp! I’ve been studying hemp for more than 20 years and I’m still learning something new all the time! And there is so much more that we can ALL learn about how great hemp is and that’s where the Cannabis Curriculum comes in.
If you’re in school, why not study something interesting and cool like cannabis hemp? It doesn’t matter what class you’re taking, with a little creative thinking, you can apply it to the beneficial aspects of cannabis hemp or the devastating effects that its prohibition has on society. You can do a book report, a term paper or a group project.
When you do this, YOU learn something new about hemp, your classmates learn something new and your teachers learn how great hemp is. That’s what the cannabis curriculum is all about:  education and communication. And if you send me the results of your hemp research, I’ll add it to the Cannabis Curriculum Clearinghouse, a database that others can access to assist with their hemp research efforts.

Are you a history buff? Hemp has been used for thousands of years by almost every civilization on earth. Help us by researching and documenting more of hemp’s rich history.

Are you a graphic artist? Do you like to draw? Why not create a cartoon for your school paper?  You could create a hemp superhero comic character that runs around fighting prohibition and planting hemp everywhere!
Are you in a theatre group?  Well why not produce a hemp musical!?! The Caitlin County Hemp Wars is a great story about a family trying to save their farm by growing hemp. Have your theatre troupe produce this inspirational and toe-tapping piece of Americana!
Despite the American government’s best efforts, more and more people are realizing that marijuana is a very safe and effective medicine. But, did you know that, in addition to Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which gets you high, cannabis flowers contain more than 50 other cannabinoids? They all interact with your endocannabinoid system, which is a literal link between your mind and your body.
We need more research into all of the cannabinoids like cannabidiol, or CBD, which doesn’t get you high but is very good for MS, nausea and arthritis! We’re talking about medicinal hemp here. And, if you discover a new cannabinoid you get to name it. You could call it THD: TetraHydrocannabiDarrell!

Hemp is the new superfood! It is high in protein, high in fiber and high in Omega 3 and Omega 6 essential fatty acids! But, eating hemp foods will not get you high. You cannot fail a drug test by eating hemp foods.
Also, did you know that there are no known allergies to hemp foods? That is amazing when you consider how many people are allergic to peanuts, are lactose intolerant or can’t eat gluten. Why aren’t people allergic to hemp foods? Does it have something to do with the endocannabinoid system? I don’t know, but i need your help to figure that out!
If you’re interested in political science or government studies, work with Vote Hemp and your farm bureau to help pass the federal hemp bill! American farmers need to grow hemp!
Are you an architect or in the construction industry? Why not build a house made out of hemp? Hemp is a concrete solution to humanity’s pollution! Hemp concrete is an excellent, all-natural building material that is fire resistant, rot resistant and it actually sequesters carbon dioxide!

Hemp concrete is an excellent, all-natural building material

There’s also hemp particle board, which is stronger and more flexible than wood particle board.  Hemp fiber insulation is better than that scratchy pink fiberglass stuff and you can roof your house with hemp composite shingles. So you really can build a house out of hemp! And I challenge you to design a hemp house and/or start using hemp products in your construction projects.
Hemp can help reduce our dependence on petroleum! You can make biodiesel out of hemp seed oil. You can use hemp stalks compressed into pellets for wood burning stoves. You can also make ethanol out of the cellulose in hemp stalks. Hemp is a much better source of energy than corn, but we need more research in this area to prove this beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Automakers in Canada and Europe are already using lots of hemp to replace plastic and metal parts because hemp is lightweight, strong and biodegradable. You may be driving a hemp car and don’t even know it!
Thanks to Reefer Madness and the War On (some) Drugs, American farmers haven’t been allowed to grow hemp for over 50 years. The entire hemp industry has been decimated, so we are literally building the hemp industry from scratch.
If you’ve ever wanted to get in on the ground floor of anything, hemp is it! The hemp industry is going to be HUGE!  But keep in mind that until American farmers can grow hemp, it all has to be imported from Canada, China and Europe. This makes it much harder for companies to compete.
We need engineers to develop new equipment to harvest and process hemp.
We need innovators and inventors to create new hemp products.
We need hemptrepreneurs to start new hemp companies!
You can all help end the prohibition of hemp by buying hemp products. That’s right, ladies, shopping can help end hemp prohibition! And it’s easier than ever to find hemp  products. Lots of mainstream comp
anies, including Patagonia, Adidas and Eileen Fisher are using hemp.
You can also find lots of great tasting and healthy hemp foods at you local health food store or at Whole Foods Markets. And of course Dr. Bronner’s soaps and body care products are everywhere so make sure you buy some and help end prohibition!
Hemp is the green buffalo! In order to survive, Native Americans used the entire buffalo; hair, snoot, balls ‘n all. And you can use the entire hemp plant to make so many essential products: food, fuel, building materials and medicine.
I want American farmers to grow hemp. I want American manufacturers to produce hemp products, and I want American companies to sell these hemp products. This will cause money to be spent over and over again, in America, creating a multiplier effect and a self-sustaining economy.
We don’t want to ship our jobs overseas; we want to create jobs and sustainable agriculture right here and hemp can help!
Hemp heals the body!
Hemp heals the environment!
Hemp heals the economy!
And the Cannabis Curriculum can help you help hemp heal!
Keep up the fight, and peace!
