LAS VEGAS — Spice and other mood altering substances are banned by the Air Force, but were legal to sell in the civilian community until Nov. 24, when the Drug Enforcement Administration used its emergency powers to ban Spice and other products that mimic the effects of marijuana. Spice use is punishable under Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and carries a maximum penalty of a dishonorable discharge, two years confinement, reduction to the grade of E-1, and total forfeiture of all pay and allowances.
