Styles P, Sheek Louch, and Jadakiss from The LOX used to blaze blunts with Biggie Smalls while busy writing hits like “It’s All ABout The Benjamins” for Puff Daddy at Bad Boy Records.

Later, the Notorious got killed, and The LOX broke free from their contract via popular uprising by their fans. They joined DMX and the Ruff Ryders, and later went independent by starting D-Block Records.

Today the crew is still together, tougher than ever, and constantly writing, recording, and touring. And Styles P is still an avid proponent of the pot head lifestyle, and marijuana legalization. Here’s what he had to say about vegan edibles, “white people music,” and Sour vs Haze.

Dallas-area cops bust pot grow in big rig trailer

Tractor trailers are often used to haul hidden stashes of marijuana around the country. It’s not often, though, that you hear about them being used to grow marijuana*.
Cops in Johnson County, Texas say they spent all of last month staking out a property outside of Rio Vista, Texas that was hiding an old 18-wheeler trailer stuffed full of grow lights and 31 plants in various stages of bloom.

Soap Shown To Cause Positive Marijuana Tests For Newborns

Several soaps used to wash newborn babies may cause the baby to test positive for marijuana on some screening tests, according to a new study.

Urine samples that had tiny amounts of any of five popular baby soaps — Johnson’s Head-To-Toe Baby Wash, J&J Bedtime Bath, CVS Night-Time Baby Bath, Aveeno Soothing Relief Creamy Wash and Aveeno Wash Shampoo — gave a positive result on a drug screening test for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the principal psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, reports Rachel Rettner at MSNBC.
The researchers began investigating after nurses at one North Carolina hospital reported a big increase in the number of newborns testing positive for marijuana. The amount of soap in the urine needed to produce a false positive test result was tiny, less than 0.1 milliliters, according to the researchers.

Drug courts, hailed just a few years ago as the salvation of our criminal justice system — they were supposed to rescue the courts from being swamped with low-level possession cases — have problems of their own.
The Government Accountability Office (GAO) last week released a report in which it finds that only 18 of 32 drug courts — or just more than 50 percent — showed statistically significant reductions in recidivism among participants.

Dutch Decide To Treat ‘Strong Marijuana’ As A Hard Drug

If that joint Dutch blogger Peter Lunk is smoking contains more than 15 percent THC, he just became a “hard drug user” according to official Dutch policy. Insanity abounds.

​About half the cannabis sold in the Netherlands just got banned — because it’s too good. According to the Dutch government, that joint of White Widow you’re smoking is just as bad as heroin or meth. And if they catch you smoking weed they think is “too good,” they can throw you into drug rehab for it.

The Dutch have been a source of both exhilaration and exasperation with their hard-to-pin-down cannabis policies for the past 40 years. Often held up as a model of tolerance by those in less-permissive countries, they actually have some serious perception problems of their own.

A couple of those have come to light recently, first with a move afoot (and gaining ground) to ban foreigners from “coffee shops” in the Netherlands, which sell marijuana and hashish to customers under an odd policy of “official tolerance” wherein cannabis is still officially illegal.

As the tsunami of hard empirical positive medical cannabis research builds, it meets the inevitable changing younger demographics of our country, and with the need for new cannabis- based jobs and new tax revenue.
The cannabis legalization tipping point is close at hand!
 
“Cannabis is the people’s medicine” and has overwhelming public support.
Let’s knock this last domino over!
