Yes, it can help you travel around the world from the comfort of your desk chair but Google Earth is a real pain in the ass if you’re trying to hide something large on your property like, say, a cannabis grow operation.
That’s how Grant Pass, Oregon cops managed to bust Curtis W. Croft who was allegedly bragging around town about his marijuana cultivation prowess, according to the Grant Pass Daily Courier.

Missourians may not be able to legally smoke marijuana for quite some time, but it’s not because drag queens aren’t doing their part. At the Attitudes nightclub in the Grove, a contingent of drag queens and burlesque dancers hosted a benefit for Show-Me Cannabis Sunday night, when all door charges and tips from dancing and drinks went to the marijuana-legalization group.
Siren, the drag-queen emcee and promoter who organized the event, says she was approached by John Payne, executive director of Show-Me Cannabis, about the possibility of doing a drag and burlesque show. The Riverfront Times has the full story.

While thrift stores are great places to donate everything from worn couches to old t-shirt, they aren’t the best places to donate cannabis – even in states where the plant is legal.
Police last week were called out to a North Seattle thrift store after an employee sorting through overnight donations at an off-site donations bin found a bag stuffed with about 2.5 pounds of ganja.
Cops in Sydney, Australia say they were patrolling a neighborhood near a building that had been the location of a fire earlier in the day when they saw two men walking out with boxes. When the cops walked up the two dudes freaked out and threw about 22 pounds of bagged up weed in the cops faces and took off running.
Throwing your weed at a policeman might be a good way to buy a few seconds of lead-time, but it’s not something we would suggest.

Being a smart-ass to a judge during your marijuana smoking trial might not be the best idea, but what if you’re smart-ass remark is really the truth?
Sarjie Morgan of Kingston, Jamaica was charged with smoking marijuana last week. When brought before the judge, Morgan pleaded innocent. He couldn’t be guilty of smoking ganja, he said. He had eaten it.

Michigan marijuana patient and caregiver Jerry Duval was sentenced to 10 years in prison back in April of 2010 for “maintaining a drug premises” according to federal agents who raided his farm. A decade in jail will cost taxpayers more than $1.2 million.
But it could cost Duval, a cancer survivor several times over now suffering from coronary artery disease, glaucoma and neurpathy, his vision and possibly his life.
Medford, Oregon doesn’t want any hippie lettuce shops opening up in their fair city. That would be just plain unlawful in their eyes, despite new state laws expressly allowing dispensaries and a federal policy permitting such state laws.
So the town has written an ordinance banning business licenses to anyone violating local, state or federal law. “I don’t see how you could license unlawful activity,” Police Chief Tim George tells the Yamhill Valley News-Register.

Denver City Council today will be considering a measure that would it a fine of up to $999 and a year in jail for public consumption of marijuana as well as consuming marijuana on your private property if your neighbors happen to smell it and complain. Pen-vapes. Man, we all thought we were pretty stealth at first with them. Taking puffs at baseball games, in restaurants, in airports, on trains, planes and buses. But guess what? It’s no secret that that us ganja tokers figured out how to put cannabis in e-cigarettes anymore. The cat is out of the bag (of sticky-icky).
Case and point: cops in Nassau, New York are testing e-cigarettes for pot when they find one of the devices on suspected drug criminals.
